The Grand Basket of Goodies

Just in case you're wondering what you'll be getting if you win the Grand Basket of Goodies, I shall now divulge all.  I'm sorry it took me so long to get this posted - I was waiting for all the prizes to come in so I could photograph them all, but some haven't gotten here yet.  One is at the press right now.  So I'll tell you about them, and you can imagine that I took pictures of them.

First, let's start off with the book that began this whole thing:

That's right - you will receive your very own handy-dandy copy of Secret Sisters, book one of the Secret Sisters Mysteries.

You will receive, from L-R: Deadly Treasure by Jillayne Clements, Shattered Silence by Melissa Moore, Becoming Kate by Dixie Owens, and Traitor by Sandra Grey.

You will receive a copy each of The Hourglass Door and The Golden Spiral by Lisa Mangum, along with a certificate for a free copy of The Forgotten Locket when it comes out. These are the hardbacks, guys.

You will get this beautiful handcrafted journal donated by Pendragon Binding.

You will receive Heart of a Hero by Marie Higgins, and because giveaways are fun, I'm throwing in some fun stuff.  Colored pencils, crayons, and twisty straws.  No, these aren't for your kids - they're for you!  Use them and have fun!
And more fun!  Highlighter markers, cute pens, a brand new stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Close to Nature, and a $10.00 Walmart gift card to spend on whatever you want.

And what is a grand prize without goodies?  Nothing!  So here we have cinnamon imperials - because my three little lady characters may be small, but they're spicy.  A 3 Musketeers bar, because they're like the Three Musketeers, only with frying pans instead of swords.  And a bag of holiday M & Ms, because you always need chocolate. Oh, and no, the fuzzy blue blanket in the background is not included.

Okay ... now for the stuff that isn't here yet - use your imagination.  First of all, Nancy Campbell Allen is donating the first and second books in her Isabelle Webb series, but the second book is at the press right now.  She will send it to me to include as soon as it's available.

Also, Upper Crust Aprons is sending me a darling hostess apron to include.  You can check out the site here and get an idea of the kinds of cute things she makes.

If you are local to me and you win this prize, I will deliver it attractively arranged in a cute basket.  If you aren't local, you will receive it in the mail, attractively arranged in a darling cardboard box. Keep entering, and you just might be the oh, so lucky winner!!

Book Review: Sun Tunnels and Secrets - Carole Thayne Warburton

I'd like to interrupt this celebration of my new book's release to help a good friend of mine celebrate hers.  Carole Thayne Warburton has recently published her third novel, Sun Tunnels and Secrets, and it was my pleasure to read it for review. You can check out the backliner and all the release information below, but I'll take a second here to share my thoughts - this book is delightful.  The characterizations are great, the storyline holds your interest from beginning to end, it's well written, and I think it's Carole's best to date.  It's very well worth your time. And if you participate in her giveaway, you just might be the winner of a gorgeous hand-thrown piece of pottery (see the picture below). Not only is Carole a talented author, but she's an amazing potter. You just can't go wrong with this lady.

From the publisher:
